Workshop Planner
The role
The purpose of the position is to : - Plan and prepare production schedules for the rebuilding and pre delivery preparation of Sandvik Underground Mining equipment products: Draw up master schedule (using maximo) to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders. Analyse production specifications and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, and human resource requirements. Plans and schedules workflow for each department and operation according to previously established as well as to establish new sequences. Plans sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations for guidance of production workers. Confers with department supervisors to determine status of assigned projects. Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions. Prepares production reports. May prepare lists of required materials, tools, and equipment. May prepare purchase orders to obtain materials, tools, and equipment. To work in accordance with Sandvik's ISO policies and procedures.
This service is rendered to Sandvik clients (internal) on site according to Sandvik and performance contract requirements

  • Project Management Certificate/Diploma (PPM) or and established knowledge of Maximo (setting up of new projects)
  • Recognised Trade Certificate or business qualification
