Restless Development is the banner carrier for youth-led development, demonstrating from the grassroots to the global policy levels that young people can and must play a lead role in development. Restless Development has more than tripled the size of its budgets and programmes in the past five years, has been the recipient of international and national awards, and is repeatedly cited as a model of best practice in youth-led development by the World Bank, the UK Department for International Development (DFID), UNICEF, UNAIDS and others.
Restless Development Sierra Leone has been operating in Sierra Leone for almost a decade, working with and for youth to implement some of the country’s flagship youth-focused programming. Within the context of the current Ebola outbreak in Sierra Leone, Restless Development is drawing on its knowledge of communities, expertise in community engagement and large network of alumni to be at the forefront of the social mobilization efforts in the country.
The Logistics Coordinator will closely with the Country Director and Management Committee in the following areas;
- Coordination of all logistical support to enable programme activities to proceed with maximum efficiency while adhering to Restless Development’s values, and logistical procedures
- Effective and efficient coordination of all procurement processes as required by the Country Programme
- Line Management of staff within the Logistics unit, including 1 Logistics Officer (Freetown), and distance management of two Assistant Logistics Coordinators (Regional Offices)
