Restless Development is the banner carrier for youth-led development, demonstrating from the grassroots to the global policy levels that young people can and must play a lead role in development. Restless Development has more than tripled the size of its budgets and programmes in the past five years, has been the recipient of international and national awards, and is repeatedly cited as a model of best practice in youth-led development by the World Bank, the UK Department for International Development (DFID), UNICEF, UNAIDS and others.
Restless Development Sierra Leone has been operating in Sierra Leone for almost a decade, working with and for youth to implement some of the country’s flagship youth-focused programming. Restless Development has adapted and redesigned aspects of our on-going programming in Sierra Leone in response to the Ebola crisis. The agency has also developed models of social mobilization that are now being piloted in several districts in conjunction with Government and local partners. This project is focus on scaling up the social mobilization model nationally in efforts to reach zero new infections before the end of 2015.
As a result of the growth in our operations in Sierra Leone, our Freetown-based finance team is managing considerable scale-up in financial support and supervision activities across the growing team, alongside a significant increase in data processing, internal financial reporting and reporting to a range of new donors.
The Finance Manager will lead the day-to-day functions of the Finance Team, be a key member of the Management Team and help to ensure that Restless Development’s finance strategy is implemented successfully. Please download the job description for a full lis of roles and responsbilities.
