Description:
The APC project in Botswana seeks to advance and support community programs that improve access to care/treatment and retention on care/treatment in 7 PEPFAR priority districts to achieve the global 90-90-90 targets. At the community level, the project will work to engage communities through Community Based Organizations (CBOs), local leaders and community members to become active participants in addressing the HIV & AIDS challenges that affect their communities, using a combination of community outreach, community HTC and CTBC approaches, together with strengthened referrals for clinical services. In addition to the shift to treatment and care interventions at the community level, APC will target adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) to increase their access to HIV and GBV prevention interventions, and decrease gender-based violence, discrimination, and other barriers to HIV prevention, treatment, and care.
Job Summary / Responsibilities:
The position leads and advises staff in the development and implementation of all financial and administrative policies, programs, and procedures for the APC project in Botswana. It ensures the projects spend resources in compliance with FHI 360 and USAID policies and procedures towards achieving its objectives.
  • Manages the operational and strategic functions for the department to ensure compliance and efficiency with FHI 360 and USAID policies and guidelines
  • Ensures the development and approval of annual budgets for the project
  • Provides recommendations and consults with co-directors the project’s strategic goals in relation to the budget
  • Manages, implements, and monitors systems, services, staff and budgets to achieve financial, administrative and programmatic goals
  • Provides timely and accurate financial and programmatic reports to FHI 360 management, JSI and USAID as required
  • Prepares and monitors approved budgets for the projects
  • Develops and implements new or revised financial and administrative policies and procedures to ensure the project is continually in line with expected standards for donor funds management
  • Builds and trains staff on financial and administrative policies and procedures to achieve department and organizational goals.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or its International Equivalent - Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or Related Field.
  • Typically requires 10+ years of finance management experience.
  • Articulate, professional and able to communicate in a clear, positive manner with clients and staff.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
  • Prior work in a non-governmental organization (NGO).
  • CPA Certification preferred.
