Director, Monetary Policy and Macroeconomic Management

The SEACEN Centre, a training and research institute with a membership of 20 central banks/monetary authorities in the Asia-Pacific region and based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, is seeking applicants for the position as Director, Macroeconomics and Monetary Policy Management (MMPM), on a three-year contract.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in the design and delivery of SEACEN’s learning and research programs in MMPM. As a member of the senior management, he/she is expected to play an active role in positioning SEACEN as the premier regional learning hub for thought leadership in central banking.
The position offers unique opportunities to interact with member central banks and participate in regional and international conferences.
To be eligible, the candidate should have a PhD in economics (preferably monetary economics, or international finance with a strong empirical focus) or a related subject, distinguished publication record, and wide network of academic and central bank contacts, and a proven record as an accomplished teacher. Experience working in a central banking institution constitutes a definite advantage.
