The Australian Energy Market Commission (AEMC) is the rule maker and developer for Australian Energy markets.  As a national independent body, we make and amend the detailed electricity, gas and retail rules for national energy markets. We also provide strategic and operational advice to the Council of Australian Governments Energy Council.
We are seeking outstanding advisory and economic staff to supplement our existing team of 70.
Our staff:
  • lead projects and work in teams to deliver rule changes and reviews;
  • produce detailed, high quality and timely advice on energy market development issues to senior management and the Commission via written briefings and verbal presentations; and
  • engage with internal and external stakeholders, including external consultants, consumers, industry stakeholders, other market institutions and government bodies, in respect to specific projects.
To fit the bill at AEMC you must embody our values of Leadership, Engagement and Integrity. Highly driven with exceptional judgement, attention to detail and strong verbal and written communication skills you will work with a variety of stakeholders to prepare exceptional reports and advice within specified timeframes.
As part of our team you can enjoy working in our spacious offices in the heart of the city opposite the stunning Hyde Park and close to public transport. Our building services offer state of the art bike facilities, shower and pamper amenities and a concierge offering.
 For further information and a full position description for each of these roles, please see http://www.aemc.gov.au/About-Us/Careers
Tell us why you want to work at the AEMC and include your resume tocareers@aemc.gov.au. We look forward to hearing from you.
