Midwife/Nurse

Maternal Care
-Conduct Ante-natal care sessions and follow-up for the pregnant mothers;
-Provide Maternal & Child Health care with special attention to high risk cases and to promptly communicate for referral of emergency cases;
-Ensure safe, clean deliveries and care for the new born;
-Conduct post-natal care ( including post abortion care);
-Inspect, weekly, delivery kits (Midwifery & TBA) and replenish supplies as appropriate;
-Ensure women of child bearing age received TT1, TT2 and more vaccinations.
Reproductive Health promotion
-Organize Reproductive Health training sessions;
-Ensures that health education is provided to the patients;
-Encourage child spacing information to mothers, families/couples;
-Support EPI activities;
-Promote prevention of STI including HIV and AIDS.
Supervision and reporting
-Supervise the activities carried out by the MCHW and TBAs;
-Record all the data about the clients;
-Compile and submit weekly and monthly Maternity reports;
-Supervise records of maternity activities;
-Regularly update stock of RH supplies and replenish appropriately;
-Ensures elements of universal precautions/ infection control and good hygiene in MCH.
General
-Actively participate in health staff meetings;
-Participate in training TBAs, Mother support groups, community leaders/groups, girl children, etc;
-Ensure good use of programme assets and be responsible for the maintenance with respect of the agreed rules;
-Perform tasks assigned in a manner which complies with procedures and regulations and COSV Code of Conduct;
-Display maximum confidentiality regarding all facts, information and documentation produced or which they receive from the clients in performing their assignment;
-In compliance with contractual and legal obligations, to demonstrate a spirit of collaboration, adapting -flexibility to the operating requirements of the organization;
-Display integrity and propriety in use of the resources and tangible assets of the organization;
-Display transparency and propriety in relations with third parties, avoiding all forms of corruption;
-Be flexible in case of changes or request to perform duty outside the job description;
-Any other tasks requested by COSV.
Requirements:
  • South Sudanese national.
  • Diploma/Certificate in Midwifery/ Nursing
  • At least three years working experience.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Fluency of English and Arabic.

  • Committed
  • Willing to Travel to remote areas
