The Role
The role contributes towards influencing establishment of sound logistics and procurement systems in RO and COs to improve the standards of supplies and fleet management. S/he will advocate for raising the profile and quality of Logistics services, standardise logistics functions, review policies and systems and constantly ascertain their effectiveness with a view to sustain high quality Logistics support to operations and programme work across all country programmes in the RESA region. S/he will pro-actively support the procurement activities of Regional Office. S/he will provide required technical support in Disaster Risk Management and also Emergency Response actions within the region.
The Person
Should have University degree in Administration, Logistics, Business management or related field, Demonstrate progressive relevant experience of over 5 years in Logistics, procurement, export and import, supply chain and fleet management roles, have people management skills and working with diverse team, have clear exposure to Emergency contexts.Training and capacity building skills is an added advantage.
Location: The post holder will be based in the Regional Office in Nairobi, Kenya
Contract Period: Fixed Term 3 years; renewable
