WASH Programme Manager

Contract Length: 2 years
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with Tearfund in our new programme in the Central African Republic.
The WASH Project Manager, based in Boda/Lobaye is responsible for Tearfund's WASH programming as part of Tearfund's response to the ongoing crisis.
The successful candidate will be a qualified Engineer with significant relevant humanitarian experience in the implementation of WASH projects. Proven management and leadership skills, coupled with experience in project and financial management are essential. Responsibilities also include regular coordination within the UN Cluster and with other NGOs and Government departments, and in collaboration with the Deputy Country Director- Programmes, the writing of donor proposals and reports.
The candidate must be able to work in potentially insecure environments, to tight timeframes. Applicants must be committed to Tearfund’s Christian beliefs. All posts involve potential contact with children and the recruitment process will include specific checks related to child protection issues.
Fluency in English with a good working knowledge of French is essential.

Although the role is based in Central African Republic, you may be asked to deploy to other Tearfund programmes in West and Central Africa to offer surge support if required.
This is an unaccompanied role.
