About the project
Education is a fundamental right for all children. Yet around the world there are 124 million girls and boys out of school today. More money would really help. But global companies are dodging billions of dollars in taxes in developing countries. It would take only a fraction of that lost amount to help fill the global finance gap and send all our children to school. In this project, ActionAid is working with school girls, youth, parents, teachers and civil society allies in Malawi, Mozambique, Nepal and Tanzania to ensure they have a strong role in holding their government to account in ensuring free public education of a high standard, financed through greater government support and increases in fair tax revenue.
About us
ActionAid International is a global movement of people working together to further human rights for all and defeat poverty. We support women and children in extreme poverty. We fight for their rights and for lasting change.
You’ll be working in the Campaigns and Policy Directorate and working closely with the Tax Campaign and Education Programme and Policy Team. These teams deliver campaigns that help change policy and practice.
